With the successful completion of each AFSUniversity Course, a certificate of completion is issued. Each Course you pass will enable you to qualify for the next level module, ultimately leading you down the path to becoming a future designated AFS Field Reporter.

This in-depth module provides a specified focus on the essential terms, procedures and reporting requirements associated with brush exposures.

Field Insurance Reporting 101 - FIR 101   Now Enrolling

FIR 101 provides you with the essential procedures, terms and knowledge for completing exterior field reports in the insurance industry. This course provides foundational material for anyone already working in the profession or for the "entry level" person seeking a career in the insurance inspection industry.

This on-line course is comprised of nine interactive chapters and assessments focusing on Interviews, Observations, Conditions, Hazards, Exposures, Protection and an introduction to Measurements and Diagrams.

After successful completion of this course (a grade of 90% or better on the assessment results) you will earn a certificate of EFIR - Exterior Field Insurance Reporter.

Field Insurance Reporting 201 - FIR 201   Now Enrolling

FIR 201 offers intermediate instruction on the more detailed aspects of Field Insurance Reporting. You will learn the procedures for obtaining measurements and diagramming a dwelling. Additionally, this course provides instructions to complete interior supplemental inspections such as wood-burning stove and electrical/heating/plumbing inspections.

After successful completion of this course (a grade of 90% or better on the assessment results) you will earn a certificate of AFIR - Associate Field Insurance Reporter.

Field Insurance Reporting 301 - FIR 301   Now Enrolling

The AFSUniversity Module FIR 301 details the essential procedures, terms and general knowledge necessary to receive and complete High Value Dwelling surveys.

 

 



Field Insurance Reporting for Farmers Insurance Group - FIR FIG   Not Enrolling

The AFSUniversity FIR FIG module details the essential procedures, terms, and general knowledge necessary to receive and complete exterior and interior field reports for Farmers Insurance Group. The course focuses on the procedural and reporting requirements of the Farmers FOS, FINT and FOSSE/FINTSI survey forms. The module is also utilized as a valuable resource to provide core, basic, and continuing education to Farmers Insurance Group Underwriters and Agents.

This on-line course is classified as “advanced” customer specific training for those presently active in the residential personal lines sector. The courseware is comprised of four interactive chapters and assessments focusing on Exterior (FOS) and Interior (FINT) Procedures and their respective Form Glossaries.

Successful completion of this course requires an assessment grade of 90% or greater.

Professionalism in Field Reporting - FIR PRO   Now Enrolling

As a Field Insurance Reporter you are the “face” of Advanced Field Services and our customers - the insurance companies and their agents. Your demeanor and actions directly reflect on the reputation and character of AFS, the insurance company and agency.

Your position requires frequent interaction with the policy holders and insurance agencies of our customers. Therefore, it is essential to conduct yourself as a professional.

FIR PRO focuses on the expected professional demeanor of the Field Insurance Reporter. This module examines professionalism as it relates to appearance, preparation, scheduling and the interaction with policy holders in person and over the telephone.

FIR PRO details the professional procedures for on-site contact with the insured, conducting personal interviews, and setting appointments.

Quality Assurance 101 - QA 101   Now Enrolling

This module is designed for internal use by AFS Quality Assurance Specialists only.

Real Estate Services 101 - RE 101   Now Enrolling

The focus of this module is to identify and communicate the fundamental differences between traditional insurance reporting standards and those associated with the “mortgage origination” and “default servicing” sectors of the real estate industry. 

Roof Assessment 2007 - RA 2007   Assessment Only
